Quesions and Comments
o Are they considering adding runup area near Fed Ex space?
o The dashed line crossing the runway hold short line is confusing
o Run up area is usually signified by the dashed line
o Suggestion: It should be painted over after the hold short line
o FAA may provide funding to “just” expand the run up area with a little additional pavement
Oceano Airport
o All areas revamped with a slurry, replacement markings, looks really good
o A few items on the punch list, required additional closures.

Any update on water and power for westside hangars? No updateAny update on new Westside hangars?

o Looking at canopies
o A lot quicker for permitting
o No plans to do it, but it’s an idea
o Comment: They look cool
o ?? Will there be Power hook ups? Probably not
o Comment: Consider storage box with hinged lid and power pole next to tie-downs
o Hawthorne Airport has them
o Looking at other options for airport storage on Westside
Realistic timeline for master plan implementation
2029/30 earliest dates they’ve heard
Construction will be in 3 phases
o 1: Middle 3rd of Taxiway, in front of the Old Terminal, Spirit, and the tower
o 2: J & K
o May allow not to bump out As-2
o 3: Site Mike (ACI) & November
o Still on hold for J & K
o Waiting on grading plan from engineers
o There will be an initial grade then a final grade
Poly and Cuesta plans for the future
o Question: Site J/K is really small and has no parking. Have they considered locating by the trash company?
o Could also use this spot for the future autonomous vehicles companies
o Could also store big jets coming in for the weekend
o [Trevor] Cuesta has a grant to use towards classroom space for the Maintenance program
o RFP for Site J/K
o On hold until grading issue can be figured out
o RFP will probably look for a component that includes education / Community Involvement
o Comment: leaving Rwy 25 open serves to relieve the crowded, smaller, Rwy 29 runup area
o The Master Plan has Rwy 9-25 being closed
o No timeline for closing Rwy 9-25
o Taxiway Alpha is first priority, getting it shifted away from Rwy 11-29
o Goal: have other hangar location available when the site November changes take place
