County Fee Schedule Update
An appraisal is required every 5 years. The one that was done in 2020 was delayed 3 years because of COVID and put in place two years ago. The airport hired a firm to evaluate rates at nearby airports and adjust ours accordingly. The full report of the methods will be released when it is finalized. Most hangar rates were increased $20 per month and tiedowns $5. Full details are in the slides. Jan 1, 2026 Implementation expected pending Board of Supervisors approval.
Lots of discussion
Trevor invited anyone who is interested, to voice their opinion to the Board of Supervisors at their meeting, sometime in the fall. He also mentioned that he is still working with the city to get water to the West Side so that hangars can be constructed.
o Rob: has the airport considered adding solar to the top of the site N hangars, that would bring in money.
o Chris: Please be our advocate, that is all we’re asking.
Construction Updates
o Parking Lot 5 is now paved and open.
o Currently paid customer parking until Fall 2025
o Rental Car Lot From Fall 2025 (139 spots, plus 4 for pay EV charging stations)
o Solar Canopy in Parking Lot 4, currently under construction. Completion expected in the Fall.
o No plans for a parking garage in that area because it is exhorbitantly expensive.
Taxiway Alpha Rehabilitation
The summer construction will fix the jog in Taxiway Alpha and add an exit to the West Side across from Taxiway C. (B-3) The nightly closure schedule hasn’t changed.
Open Discussion
o Chris complained about dumpsters at site November being full
o Trevor suggested increasing pick-ups
o Ron: is there a hangar “Swap” list?
o Trevor would like to add the “Swap” list to the website. Trevor will research the option.
